MOONHERA has announced a new visual novel for PC via Steam titled Menhera Maiden. It will release in 2026 with both Japanese and Simplified Chinese options.
It is unknown whether or not the game will launch for other platforms, or if other language options will be available upon release. The Steam page describes Menhera Maiden as follows:
June—a season when one feels faintly haunted by the spirits of spring. To avoid total ruin, you have but one option: you must speak to a ‘Landmine-type Girl’! As for why—“Understanding Yami Culture through ‘Landmine-type Girl’” is the title of your thesis. A year ago, you—a self-proclaimed otaku—came to Japan to study, and now you are set to graduate this summer. To graduate successfully, you must complete your master’s thesis.
With only 62 days remaining, you have never actually interacted with a ‘Landmine-type Girl’, and your progress stands at 【0】! With time running out, you’ve come to Shukushin, determined to strike up a conversation with “girls who look like they might be ‘Landmine-type Girl’”. You’ll encounter three girls… and this might just be the worst choice you’ve ever made.
