Square Enix’s new mobile roguelite RPG Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is collaborating with Dragon Quest I for a new limited-time event running through June 16 at 2:59 a.m. UTC. During the Dragon Quest I collaboration event, Dragon Quest Smash/Grow players can explore the classic RPG’s world, speak with townspeople, and take part in various missions as part of the Dragon Quest I story. Players can earn DQ1 gold coins to obtain various rewards from the in-game Swap Shop.
The new collaboration storyline also brings unlockable challenges, including Fearsome Foe: Green Dragon. Players will receive a rank and rewards based on the amount of damage dealt to Green Dragon within the set time limit. Players can also obtain Erdrick’s Equipment items, including the legendary Erdrick’s Sword with the Gigaslash Coup de Grâce. The sword is also imbued with the Zapple Swords Enchantment, which follows up normal attacks with a powerful lightning attack.
