Creative Assembly and SEGA have released the first teaser trailer for the Alien: Isolation sequel, titled “False Sense of Security.” The teaser briefly hints at the setting and visuals for the upcoming game.

While little details about the Alien: Isolation sequel are known, such as its release date, title, and platforms, the first trailer provides a hint at what players can expect. Judging by the rainy setting and destroyed landscape, it seems that the sequel will take place on a space colony in the Alien universe, rather than a space station. The trailer’s description states “A feeling of being safer than one really is.” More details about the game will likely surface at a later date.

Check out the first teaser trailer for the Alien: Isolation sequel below:

Alien: Isolation is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Previously, we had the chance to interview Alexis Smith, one half of the soundtrack duo known as The Flight, who previously composed the score for Alien: Isolation. While Smith implied that they wouldn’t be working on the sequel, it is possible that plans may have changed in the last year. Lastly, the Steam page describes the game as follows:

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.

As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien.

Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.
