A single wrong move can mean death in this card game.

GIANTY and 213°F (Fahrenheit 213) have announced LUNAR PULSE, a new roguelite card game where a single wrong move leads to death. From the developer of TSURUGIHIME, Yosuke Shiokawa, LUNAR PULSE is set to launch in 2027 for PC via Steam with a localization in 15 different regions.

LUNAR PULSE is set in an anime-styled dark fantasy world sinking into an eternal moonlit night. Players must navigate a high-stakes Rite where every decision determines life or death. The protagonist must face 12 other “Lilith” witches, and there are dozens of ending variations thanks to branching paths based on the player’s choices of “Forgive or Forsake?”

The game is built around punishing 1v1 battles with full hand visibility (5 cards) and sudden reversals, ensuring the game is fair and challenging at the same time. Card battles are ultra-fast and play out within 60 seconds. Players can predict moves and use actions like parry, guard, and evasion to survive. There’s also professional narration from voice actress Teiko Nanahara.

Final Weapon recently had the chance to interview Yosuke Shiokawa to learn more about the upcoming side-scrolling action RPG TSURUGIHIME and its development. Shiokawa previously served as the creative director of Fate/Grand Order, lead planner of Kingdom Hearts II, and concept director of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, and he shared his thoughts on TSURUGIHIME being the culmination of his development experiences. We can also exclusively confirm that a TSURUGIHIME closed beta will be held in the near future.
