HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 “New: Eridan Sunset” will launch on May 6, and the game is also coming soon to PC via Steam. In the new update, Starlight – Billy will make his debut, and there will be a new outfit for Hoshimi Miyabi, a new Wind attribute enemy, and numerous system optimizations. Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 also brings new story quests in what will be the final chapter of Season 2.
Promeia will be making her debut as a S-Rank Ice Anomaly agent. She excels at
triggering Abloom by consuming Trial by Cold, which is obtained by converting Corrosive Chill. Promeia’s EX Special Attack activates the Bound Absolution state, allowing her to automatically perform a Perfect Dodge when attacked. She can also boost the squad’s Abloom damage when the squad includes another Anomaly or Support agent.
Serving as Billy’s fully upgraded form, Starlight – Billy is a S-Rank Physical Rupture agent. Starlight – Billy is armed with a combat motorcycle and his iconic Starlight Knight flying kick, allowing him to deliver massive Physical burst damage. What’s more, he increases his Sheer damage based on his maximum health, and his Physical attacks can be considered Sheer damage as well. Some of his Starlight abilities can restore his health, and his Ultimate kick deals a slew of damage to enemies. Promeia and Starlight – Billy will make their debut in Version 2.8 with reruns of Lucia (Ether – Support) and Orphie & Magus (Fire – Attack).
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 also brings a new attribute enemy and a new Vortex combat mechanic. According to HoYoverse, when certain enemies are inflicted with the Wind Attribute Anomaly, applying other Attribute Anomalies will trigger Vortex instead of Disorder, dealing AoE Anomaly damage matching the corresponding element.
Fans can also look forward to new version events like “Marcel Bootopia” and “Ultimate Verdict Trial” to earn rewards like Booltergeist and Polychromes. The new Hoshimi Miyabi: Dignified Blossom outfit will also be available in the shop, and a new Polychrome Guide feature will let fans track limited-time rewards progress. Optimizations to resource and store management will be made alongside the addition of a new auto-delete function.
Zenless Zone Zero is available now for PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. The Steam version of Zenless Zone Zero is coming soon, and fans can wishlist the game to earn special rewards after reaching various milestones. There will be cross-platform data compatibility with the Steam version as well.
The Zenless Zone Zero original soundtrack vinyl sets will be available for pre-
order via the Laced Records store starting April 29. The new vinyl set includes classic in-game tracks and character themes from Zenless Zone Zero.
