Kinetic Games and Remedy Entertainment have announced that Phasmophobia will release a collaboration based on Alan Wake 2 on May 12. The event will last until June 2.
In the collaboration, you’ll see the Dark Place of Alan Wake 2 bleed into locations both familiar and unfamiliar from Phasmophobia. The first trailer features narration from Matthew Poretta, the voice of Alan Wake himself, implying that the character’s abilities as a writer are impacting the real world in horrifying ways. Check out the trailer for the upcoming collaboration between Phasmophobia and Alan Wake 2 below:
Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, stated the following about the collaboration: “There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together in this dream – or rather, nightmare – collaboration. It was a joy to write this. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.” Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games, also goes on to say the following:
“Working with Remedy has been an incredible experience, and the way these two worlds overlap has opened up some unsettling possibilities that we’re excited for players to explore. It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game’s iconic locations into Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for fans of both games to see what the event has in store on May 12th.”
Phasmophobia is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will release at a later date for Nintendo Switch 2. Alan Wake 2 is also available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
