FuRyu has filed a new trademark for “CRYMELIGHT” in Japan, which was made public on April 6 (JST). The title of CRYMELIGHT leads us to believe this could be a successor to the CRYMACHINA and CRYSTAR action RPGs, due to the similar naming scheme. FuRyu hasn’t made an official announcement, but the publisher tends to release its major game for the year between the months of February and May.
The successor to CRYSTAR, CRYMACHINA, released July 27, 2023 in Japan for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. CRYMACHINA released in the west October 27, 2023 with a PC version. A free CRYMACHINA demo may be downloaded right now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Save data from the demo transfers into the full game.
Final Weapon reviewed CRYMACHINA and gave it a 4/5 score, noting that the game is “an intriguing action RPG with mechanical girls that attempt to become human again in a very distant future. Although such a future is bleak, these androids make CRYMACHINA feel wholesome and hopeful.”
CRYSTAR is currently available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The PlayStation 5 version was the latest release for the series, and it includes over 30 DLC costumes on PS5.
