Koei Tecmo and Gust has announced BLUE REFLECTION Quartet, a new collection featuring BLUE REFLECTION and BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light, the BLUE REFLECTION RAY anime series; and the BLUE REFLECTION SUN mobile game. BLUE REFLECTION Quartet launches digitally on July 30 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Alongside the games, the collection also includes a reference database for the BLUE REFLECTION universe, allowing fans to examine “flowcharts with certain events organized in chronological order, characters’ relationship charts, and series correlation charts.” Various quality of life features and gameplay adjustments were also made.

Here’s an overview of each title featured in BLUE REFLECTION Quartet:

BLUE REFLECTION: Originally released in 2017, the game combines magical form elements with contemporary academies as an injured student faces an imminent threat to her world. Features character design and supervision by illustrator Mel Kishida and storyline by authors Keiichi Sigsawa, Yusaku Igarashi, and Koji Natsumi.

BLUE REFLECTION RAY: Released as an animated series in 2021, the anime’s story has been re-edited and 3D models of the main characters have been created. Tour a world shaped by the collective unconscious known as the Common with Hiori and Ruka and further understand the students’ emotions.

BLUE REFLECTION SUN: A mixed-media project based on BLUE REFLECTION, this smartphone/PC game was available from February 2023 to May 2024. The game’s story has been adapted to consoles as players can now interact with the students walking around the school. Furthermore, the game’s memorable fights have been brought to life using the battle system from BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light.

BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light: Originally released in 2021, the students must face their own feelings while trying to recover their memories and the truth of their world as Ao finds herself lost in an academy surrounded by water. Added to Quartet, eight additional characters from RAY and SUN will be featured as party members.
