Kojima Productions have revealed new features that will be available for the upcoming PC version of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The features will also release for the PlayStation 5 version on the same day.
One of the biggest new additions is the “to the wilder” challenge mode. According to a PlayStation Blog post, the new mode “tests your porter skills to the extreme in merciless environments filled with deadly enemies, and completing orders will require every ounce of ingenuity you can muster. Although there is no turning back once you embark upon this punishing journey, your reward will be a sense of satisfaction that is truly priceless, and you can expect genuine gratitude from the other porters you help.”
Alongside it, the new features include the ability to replay the boss fights against Neil Vana in a “Trapped in a Strange Realm” VR training area. Playing through these segments will reward you with new bandanas to wear in the field. Tarman’s Chiral Feline will also be able to visit Sam in his room in the DHV Magellan. The feline will also be present in the Photo Mode, with more new frames and settings releasing for the mode as well.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will support a variety of unique visual features on PC. This includes ultrawide support, high frame rates, DLSS/frame generation, ray-tracing, and more. Returning players from PS5, and those who link their PlayStation account to the PC version, will receive the Porter Suit: Link and Patch: Link. Both a standard and digital deluxe edition will also be available.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is available now for PlayStation 5. It will release for PC on March 19.
