Aspyr Media has announced that Tomb Raider Remastered I-III is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, alongside the addition of a new free Challenge Mode. Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version at no additional cost on March 18.
According to the trailer showcasing Challenge Mode, it adds the following to Tomb Raider Remastered I-III on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2:
- 10 New Outfits: Complete achievements to unlock 10 New Outfits that enhance Lara’s abilities and push you further on your next run.
- Challenge Mode: Test your skills by customizing levels. Modify health, damage, bonuses, enemies, and more. The higher the challenge rating, the more you’ll unlock.
- 15 New Achievements: Increase your trophy collection with the addition of new Challenge Mode achievements.

Recently, Crystal Dynamics announced that two Tomb Raider games will be released in 2026 and 2027. The first will be Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the original game. Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the second title, will be a brand-new adventure. Tomb Raider: Catalyst is a new adventure spanning across Northern India.
According to the official Tomb Raider website, the game follows Croft after a mythical cataclysm unveils ancient secrets and awakens guardian forces. Further, Legacy of Atlantis aims to capture the excitement of Lara’s first adventure with modern visuals, storytelling, and game design. Both will feature the voice of Alix Wilton Regan as Lara Croft. Lastly, the two games will release PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
