The Pokémon Company has released a new trailer for Pokémon Pokopia as part of Pokémon Day. The new trailer further showcases the game’s mechanics and features before it releases on March 5.
The trailer showcases the inclusion of DJ Rotom, who takes the form of stereo speakers, and Chef Dente, a Greedent who specializes in cooking. The former will allow you to play songs from throughout the series’ history in your town. You can also visit other players’ towns and play with up to two-three people to do activities like hide and seek and building. Check out the new trailer for Pokémon Pokopia below:
Here’s an overview of the game, via Nintendo:
Play as a Ditto – who has transformed to look like a human – to shape an empty land into a beautiful space for a variety of Pokémon. Learn new moves from Pokémon you meet to expand and create a paradise. Collect berries, rocks and wood, build furniture, grow vegetables in fields you’ve tilled, create homes for Pokémon you meet, and more! Pokémon Pokopia takes shape on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Recently, The Pokémon Company revealed the newest entry in the mainline franchise: Pokémon Winds and Waves, which will release in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2. The first trailer for both games teases new variants of Pikachu that wear unique costumes. While little details about the region that they will highlight are known, the first look teases jungles, beaches, lava areas, and the wide open sea.
It also teases that underwater areas may be fully explorable. Additionally, it reveals the three starters for both Winds and Waves. Browt is a grass chicken, Pombon is a fiery pomeranian, and Gecqua is a water gecko. More details about the region, unique Pokémon, and mechanics will surface at a later date.
