Prime Video has released the first look at the upcoming God of War live-action series, which will release for the service at a later date. The first look features the live-action versions of both Kratos and Atreus.
The series started full production today. The full cast for it is as follows:
- Ryan Hurst (Thor in God of War: Ragnarok) as Kratos
- Callum Vinson as Atreus
- Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Severence) as Thor
- Mandy Patinkin (Criminal Minds, Homeland, The Princess Bride) as Odin
- Ed Skrein (Deadpool) as Baldur
- Max Parker (Boots) as Heimdall
- Teresa Parker (The Fall Guy, A Discovery of Witches) as Sif
- Alastair Duncan reprises his role as Mimir
- Danny Woodburn (Watchmen, The Witcher) as Brok
- Jeff Gulka (The X-Files) as Sindri

Recently, Santa Monica Studios announced that it is making full scale remakes for the original God of War trilogy. While little details about the remake are known, it will feature the original actor behind Kratos, T.C. Carlson, reprising his role. TC Carlson also reprises his role in God of War: Sons of Sparta, a metroidvania passion project from Mega Cat Studios and Santa Monica. Mega Cat previously worked on Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit.
Two editions of Sons of Sparta are available. The standard edition costs $29.99, while the deluxe edition costs $39.99. The latter includes a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, spear attachment, enhance material, unstable gemstone, blood orbs, and PlayStation Network avatars. Lastly, God of War: Sons of Sparta is available today on PlayStation 5.
