The April issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine revealed that Ominaeshi’s The Sado Life of Rosé the Witch (Mahōtsukai Rosé no Sado Life) manga will be getting an anime adaptation. To celebrate the announcement, Ominaeshi released a celebratory illustration:
Ominaeshi first launched The Sado Life of Rosé the Witch manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in August 2022. Houbunsha released the manga’s fifth compiled book volume in July 2025, and will release the sixth volume on March 12. During the 2024 Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho Awards event, the manga was nominated for an award in the Comics category.

The story begins when Rosé is transported from another world to Japan. Right after arriving, she is attacked by a bird, but she’s saved by a local resident named Sana Tsuchiya.
Since Rosé has just arrived and lacks both money and any sense of her surroundings, she ends up moving in with Sana. At first, after watching TV at Sana’s house, Rosé assumes she has been transported to Tokyo—but in reality, she is on Sado Island.
