The staff of SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table the anime adaptation based on Yūshi Ukai and artist Nekometal’s Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table light novel series released the “Candle Woods” trailer. The trailer also revealed six additional characters.
The newly announced cast members include:
- Shizuka Itō as Hakushi
- Natsuko Abe as Moegi
- Yume Miyamoto as Airi
- Rina Honnizumi as Chara
- Ayana Taketatsu as Sumiyaka
Previously announced cast members include:
- Chiyuki Miura as Yuuki

- Inori Minase as Kinko
- Haruka Satō as Kokutō
- Mutsumi Tamura as Beniya

LIN from MADKID performs the opening theme song “¬Ersterbend” (Not Ersterbend).” Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending theme song “Inori (Prayer).” Fujikawa wrote the lyrics of the ending theme song, and the song was composed and arranged by Seima Kondō from Elements Garden.
Sōta Ueno directs the anime at Studio DEEN. Rintarou Ikeda is in charge of series composition. Eri Osada is designing the characters, and Noriyoshi Konuma is the sound director.
