NIS America and Nihon Falcom have launched action RPG Ys X: Proud Nordics worldwide for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. In addition, NIS America announced a “Ys X Special Upgrade Pack” will be available from March 6 to August 31, 2026, allowing players to save 34% on the new game if they already own the Steam version of Ys X: Nordics.
The announcement reads, “We are proud to announce that owners of Ys X: Nordics will be able to access an exclusive discount. By purchasing the Ys X Special Upgrade Pack, available from March 6, 2026 to August 31, 2026, you’ll be able to save 34% on the new, definitive Ys X: Proud Nordics!”
Final Weapon reviewed Ys X: Proud Nordics and gave it a 4/5 score, noting that the game is “the definitive version of the 2024 action RPG with new story and side content, improved gameplay and features, and amazing performance on Nintendo Switch 2. The lack of an upgrade path from Ys X: Nordics and the need to replay story content limits some of the game’s potential, but Ys and action RPG fans are in for a treat nonetheless.”
