Tonight, Konami has released the final update for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which enabled 60FPS support for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on Nintendo Switch 2. Both games previously ran at 1080p but were locked to 30FPS on Nintendo Switch.

This update also packed in the feature to upgrade the image resolution to “High Resolution Mode” in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, change the confirm button in Metal Gear Solid, and other small fixes that are available across all platforms. 4K support was initially added with Version 2.0, but this update goes further to upscale the internal resolution itself.

Alongside this update, Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which will be heading to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 27. This collection puts together Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the PatriotsMetal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel into one package for players to experience.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Version 3.0 update is live at this time.
