Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 Launches February 13, Kafka and Blade Coming to Fortnite

HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 “No Aha At Full Moon” will launch on February 13 featuring Planarcadia, a new world serving as the setting for the latest story arc. Players will also head to the Interastral Peace Entertainment headquarters, “Astropolis,” with the Astral Express to embark on new explorations, and Yao Guang and Sparxie arrive as playable characters. 

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 No Aha At Full Moon

Planarcadia was once known as a flat “World in Canvas,” but after the IPC took over, the was revived into a bustling hub. The Astral Express crew arrives on Planarcadia, where Madam Pearl, one of the Strategic Investment Department’s “Ten Stonehearts,” will be there to play host. The world is also the location where the Astral Express reignited its journey 15 years ago, and it’s Navigator Himeko’s homeland. There’s plenty to discover to Planarcadia in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0, including “Duomension City,” “Graphia Academy,” and the “the Phantasmoon Games.”

Combat is under the gaze of The Laughter in Planarcadia, and those who follow the Path of Elation on the team, or when fighting special enemies, will obtain “Punchlines.” As Punchlines accumulate and Aha’s interest peaks, Aha will initiate an “Aha Instant,” leading the Elation characters in the team to unleash Elation Skills. The more Punchlines obtained, the stronger the effects will be. Once Aha Instant ends, Path of Elation characters gain unique “Certified Banger” buffs. 

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 will introduce 5-star character General Yao Guang, the Seer Strategist from Xianzhou Alliance’s Yuque. As a Physical character on the Path of Elation, Yao Guang specializes in using “Weal and Woe Lots” to control the flow of battle. Weal Lots increase ally Elation and grant the team “Punchline” stacks when Yao Guang uses her Skill. She casts Woe Lots during an Aha Instant, causing enemies to take increased DMG while regenerating Skill Points for the team. Her Certified Banger buff allows teammates’ attacks to deal 1 instance of Additional Elation DMG. If that attack consumes a Skill Point, the DMG is further increased. Her Ultimate also provides Punchline to the team and triggers an instant extra Aha Instant, increasing All-Type RES PEN for all allies.

Sparxie is another 5-star Fire-Type character on the Path of Elation. She’s the hottest streamer in Planarcadia, and she will debut alongside Sparkle. In combat, Sparxie opens a livestream room to engage in a live upvote showdown with enemies. Players can continuously consume Skill Points to send random “Gifts” to Sparxie, regenerating varying amounts of Skill Points or “Punchlines” for the team. The more Skill Points consumed, the more Punchlines the team gains, and the higher the DMG dealt at the final settlement. She also deals massive damage in multiple bounces during Aha Instant. In the Certified Banger state, every gift deals additional Elation DMG to a random enemy target. In addition, her Ultimate deals extra Elation DMG.

The update is rounded out with Warp events featuring Black Swan, Evernight, and Hysilens, along with Sparkle, Cerydra, and Rappa. Fans can log in to receive a 20-pull reward and Ruan Mei’s new outfit for free. The Yao Guang fortune event also offers 1,600 Stellar Jades in rewards, and there will be new new Trailblaze Outfits, new headwear, and a free 5-star character selector. Fans can also look forward to new events and modes, including the “Cosmicon Collective” card game, “Furbobo Weekly” editorial activity, and expansions to “Currency Wars” and “Divergent Universe.”

Kafka and Blade Coming to Fortnite on February 26

To celebrate Version 4.0, Honkai: Star Rail characters Kafka and Blade are coming to Fortnite as new Ouftits (compatible with LEGO styles) on February 26 in the Fortnite Shop. Players will also be able to obtain a Back Bling, a Pickaxe, and access additional crossover content, including LEGO Styles for use in LEGO Fortnite. During the collaboration period, eligible players who download Honkai: Star Rail via the Epic Games Store and participate in
designated activities will receive the “Blade” character Outfit in Fortnite as a reward.

Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android via Google Play Store, iOS via App Store, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store.
