Analogue has announced new “Prototype” limited editions for the Analogue 3D and the 8BitDo 64 Controller. Five colors will be available of both on February 9.

The five colors are “Ghost,” “Glacier,” “Atomic Purple,” “Extreme Green,” and “Ocean.” The Analogue 3D consoles will cost $299.99, while the controllers will cost $44.99. The official website describes the limited editions: “Five colors were officially prototyped for the original Nintendo 64, unreleased. Until now. They were real, they were manufactured, they were never released. Analogue 3D Prototype Editions finally release these lost colors as limited editions. History finished, decades later.” You will be able to order the consoles and controllers via the Analogue website

Lastly, the official website describes the Analogue 3D system, which initially released in December 2025, as follows:

A reimagining of the N64. In 4K resolution. 10x the resolution of the original N64. The first and perhaps greatest multiplayer system of all time. Analogue 3D is 100% compatible with every original N64 game ever made. Region Free. Bluetooth LE. Dualband Wifi. Four original-style controller ports. Entirely new, next generation Analogue hardware featuring 3DOS. Engineered entirely in FPGA. No Emulation.

Analogue 3D represents a milestone in video game preservation. It’s not just a reimagining of the N64—it’s the first fully compatible, hardware-accurate recreation, fully compatible with the entire N64 game library. After nearly four years of dedicated FPGA engineering, Analogue 3D overcomes the limitations of software emulation—no input lag, no graphic or audio inaccuracies, no timing or frame rate problems. This is the N64, perfected and true to its core
