Square Enix has released a new update for HD-2D turn-based RPG Octopath Traveler 0 with improvements to overall sound quality and game performance. In addition to performance improvements, the latest Octopath Traveler 0 update fixes bugs that previously affected the museum, in-game achievements, and save data.
The patch notes for the new Octopath Traveler 0 update reads as follows:
- Improved sound quality
- Improved overall game performance
- Fixed an issue where the museum’s interior would not change after upgrading it
- Fixed an issue where achievements would not unlock as normal on some platforms
- Fixed an issue where data would not save correctly on some platforms
- Other minor bug fixes
Octopath Traveler 0 is available now for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free demo is available now with save data transfers over to the full game. The Standard Edition costs $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99 and includes various bonus items.

Octopath Traveler 0 was featured on the cover of Famitsu’s December 18 magazine issue, which released on December 4, 2025. The December 18 Famitsu issue includes a cover illustration by Octopath Traveler 0 character designer Naoki Ikushima, and the issue has a 21-page feature and interview with producer Hirohito Suzuki.
