SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that the version 1.11 update for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will fix lighting issues and address other “quality concerns” that fans had from the recent demo. The new update will be available alongside the launch of the game.

One example of the lighting issues that players found was in the Kubochi River area in the Downtown Ryukyu area, where lighting caused the water to look severely muddy in color as if the textures were extremely low. According to RGG Studio, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties update 1.11 will fix these issues and other unspecified bugs.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties launches February 12 for $59.99 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. There will be physical and digital editions, and pre-orders include the Ichiban Legendary Lad DLC. A Digital Deluxe Edition costs $74.99 and includes several DLC packs (also sold separately).

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties includes a remake of 2009’s Yakuza 3 and Dark Ties, a Like a Dragon Gaiden-style game. The title features revamped gameplay, story changes, new cast members and English voice-overs, and new cutscenes in the Dragon Engine. Players may choose to play Yakuza Kiwami 3 or Dark Ties in any order.

The cast includes:

  • Takaya Kuroda as Kazuma Kiryu
  • Shido Nakamura as Yoshitaka Mine
  • Satoshi Tokushige as Daigo Dojima
  • Ryo Ishibashi as Shigeru Nakahara
  • Teruyuki Kagawa as Goh Hamazaki
  • Show Kasamatsu as Rikiya Shimabukuro
  • Hiroyuki Miyasako as Tsuyoshi Kanda
  • Kenji Matsuda as Shinpei Ikari

The Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Original Soundtrack will be released by Wave Master for 5,280 yen (tax included) on March 4 in Japan. The original soundtrack comes in a massive four-CD set.
