Aquaplus has announced that Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube will launch on May 28 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in Japan. Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube will be release alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten.

Aquaplus previously delayed Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube to 2026 to make way for more quality improvements. Before being delayed, Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube was planned to release in fall 2025.

The game’s voice cast includes:

  • Saori Hayami as Munechika
  • Yuuko Minaguchi as Shunya
  • Kentaro Tone as Oshtor
  • Yuuya Uchida as Mikazuchi

Here’s a story synopsis, via Gematsu:

This is a story from the distant past. No, this is a story from the far future.

The great state of Yamato—a land ruled by an emperor, a living god.

Thanks to Oshtor, Mikazuchi, Munechika, and Shunya, the enemy state of Arva Shulan’s assault was repelled, and Yamato’s peaceful days were restored.

But at a certain point, a shadow of unrest enshrouded Yamato. Strange phenomena arose in various places. Seemingly unrelated events converged at a single point.

In response, three points overlapped with one another, and once again, a new journey began.

They still have no way of knowing that, at the end of this journey, there lies a signpost leading to that which will be sung—within a cradle shrouded in pure white mist, the time of slumber was nearing its end.

Before then, action RPG Utawarerumono: Zan was released on December 16, 2025 for PC via Steam with English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese language options. Utawarerumono: Zan is also available now for PlayStation 4.

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the west.
