Valve has revealed the winners of the 2025 Steam Awards, with Hollow Knight: Silksong taking home the Game of the Year Award. Fans had the chance to vote for their favorite games for the 2025 Steam Awards from December 18, 2025, to January 3, 2026.
The 2025 Steam Awards winners include:
- Game of the Year Award – Hollow Knight: Silksong
- VR Game of the Year Award – The Midnight Walk
- Labor of Love Award – Baldur’s Gate 3
- Best Game on Steam Deck Award – Hades II
- Better With Friends Award – PEAK
- Outstanding Visual Style Award – Silent Hill f
- Most Innovative Gameplay Award – ARC Raiders
- Best Game You Suck At Award – Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Best Soundtrack Award – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Best Game with Outstanding Story Award – Dispatch
- Sit Back and Relax Award – RV There Yet?
Valve will be sending physical Steam Award trophies to the developers’ offices, and a virtual trophy will be displayed on the game’s home page.
Fans of Hollow Knight: Silksong can also look forward to the new “Sea of Sorrow” expansion in 2026 for free, featuring new areas, bosses, tools, and much more. In addition, Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be released in 2026 with all the updates and enhancements that Hollow Knight: Silksong received, including high frame-rate modes, higher resolutions, and additional graphical effects.
