A new trailer was shown after the Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The Steps to Become an Adult TV anime special, confirming that the anime series will reach its finale with a new film. Kaguya-sama: Love is War creator Aka Akasaka will be drafting the story concept for the film, which is entirely new and original. Akasaka notes that the decision to make the film was made about four years ago.
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – The Steps to Become an Adult premiered on December 31 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Tochigi TV. Mamoru Hatakeyama directed the special at A-1 Pictures. Yūko Yahiro returns as the character designer, and Kei Haneoka is the music composer.

- Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara

A-1 Pictures animated all three seasons of the anime. The first season aired in 2019, the second in 2020, and the third season in 2022. In December 2022, the franchise released an anime film titled The First Kiss That Never Ends.
Akasaka launched the manga series in 2015 on Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine before moving to Young Jump in 2016. The manga series officially ended in November 2022.
