Nihon Falcom is working on unannounced Trails and Ys games, in addition to plans to release Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and another new game in 2026, according to the investors presentation published by Nikkei. On top of new Trails and Ys games, Falcom is also working two new ports, including a Nintendo Switch 2 port and one that will be released in 2026.
Falcom’s in-development and release schedule includes the following, via Gematsu:

- Falcom Acoustics 3 (Music) – March 2026
- Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter (PS5, Switch 2, Switch, PC) – 2026
- Unannounced Ported Title – In Development
- Unannounced Switch 2 Ported Title – In Development
- [Title C] Tokyo Xanadu New Project – In Development
- [Title D] Unannounced Title – In Development
- [Title H] Unannounced New Trails Series Title – In Development

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in fall 2026. Players can transfer their save data from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter to receive bonuses in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. More details about pricing, editions, and a release date will be announced at a later date, and fans can stay tuned for updates on Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter’s official website.
In the meantime, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is 25% off through January 8 in the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam marketplace. The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Standard Edition is down to $44.99 ($45.74 on Switch 2 with upgrade pack), and the Digital Deluxe Edition is down to $59.99.
