The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime adaptation of Miyuki Nakayama’s BL manga, Shota x Oni (popularly known as Shota Oni), revealed that the anime would be titled Ore to Yu Nii! (Me and Older Brother Yu).

To celebrate the announcement, Miyuki released an illustration on X:

Nakayama released the Shota X Oni manga on the Comic CMOA website as part of the launch for Square Enix’s boys-love manga label “Gangan BLiss” in September 2021. At the 13th annual Boys-Love Awards presented by Chil-Chil, the manga won Best Next Generation (Newcomer).

Additionally, the series is available on Manga UP!, ebookjapan, LINE Manga, and the Kindle Store! On March 22, Square Enix published the sixth compiled book volume of the manga.

Lastly, here’s an overview of the series via MyAnimeList:

Elementary schooler Tsubaki is head over heels for his childhood friend, Yuu, a gentle and easygoing high schooler.

Though Yuu always treats him with care, he can’t help but see Tsubaki as just a kid. But Tsubaki is determined—”I’ll grow up fast and make Yuu-nii happy!”

With youthful determination and an earnest heart, Tsubaki’s love story is just beginning—a heartfelt tale of innocence, admiration, and the bonds that grow over time.
