PlayStation and Arrowhead Studios have announced a new legendary warbond for Helldivers 2, which is based on Killzone. It adds new cost for a price of 1500 Super Credits.
Previously, items based on Killzone were added to the store for a limited time in December 2024. According to the PlayStation Blog, however, “players who have previously purchased any (even one) of the Killzone items, will have the whole Helldivers 2 x Killzone Legendary Warbond unlocked at no extra cost.” The Killzone warbond now joins the Halo 3 ODST warbond as yet another collaboration based on popular first-person shooters within Helldivers 2. The warbond features the following items:

- Primary Weapons
- StA-52 Assault Rifle
- StA-11 SMG
- PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle

Recently, Arrowhead Game Studios and support studio Nixxes Software have released a major optimization update for Helldivers 2 on Steam, reducing the overall file size from roughly 154 GB to just 23 GB—an 85% decrease. Steam users can opt into a technical beta branch of Helldivers 2 on Steam to reduce the file size and test out the new update before its global deployment.
Additionally, a new report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Justin Lin will direct the upcoming film adaptation of Helldivers. Additionally, Gary Dauberman, who has previously worked on It, has written the script. Lastly, Helldivers 2 launched on February 8, 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, followed by August 26, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S.
