The long-awaited day has come, as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally available now for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Alongside the game’s release, update 1.1.0 is now available for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond with rumble effects for cinematics, amiibo functionality, and Hard difficulty adjustments.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Update 1.1.0 Patch Notes
General
- You can now use amiibo from the amiibo page on the pause menu.
- Rumble effects have been added to cinematics.
- When the Nintendo Switch version of the game is launched on Nintendo Switch 2, the text “Switch 2 Edition” will now be displayed on the menu after the title screen. Selecting this will take the user to the upgrade pack page on Nintendo eShop.
- The ratings information for ClassInd (Brazil) has changed from 12 to 14.
- The conditions to unlock some cinematics in the Gallery have changed from “Acquire 100% of all inventory items” to “Beat the game on any difficulty”.
- The difficulty for some enemies has been adjusted in Hard mode.
- Other fixes have been made to improve gameplay.
As previously revealed, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes two different graphics options, Quality Mode and Performance Mode, which output at 4K 60 FPS and 1080p 120 FPS, respectively. Both of these modes support HDR, and there’s even the option to play with mouse controls with Joy-Con 2.
Furthermore, new Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Samus and Vi-O-La amiibo will release on November 6, followed by the launch of the Sylux amiibo alongside the game on December 4.
