Kadokawa has announced the TV anime adaptation of Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrator Kikka Ohashi’s The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter boys-love light novel series will premiere on January 6, 2026 at 11:00 p.m. JST / 9:00 a.m. EST on the AT-X channel in Japan. New cast members and a new key visual for the anime were also revealed.
The new cast members include:
- Win Morisaki as Ciro
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Orjef
- Shiori Izawa as Selio
Moreover, an advanced screening event will be held in Tokyo on December 11. The screening event features the anime’s first three episodes.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime with the title Isekai Office Worker: The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and Indian Subcontinent.
Kobore performs the opening theme song “Magic,” while Win Morisaki performs the ending theme song “Back to Back.”

- Hiroki Tōchi as Kamil

Shinji Ishihara directs the anime at Studio DEEN, with Yoshiko Nakamura overseeing the series composition. Akira Yamada serves as assistant director, while Maki Fujii is handling the character design. Megumi Ōhashi is composing the music, and Nippon Columbia is producing the music.
Yatsuki launched the light novel series in February 2019. Lastly, Yen Press releases the manga and light novel in English and describes it as follows:
One day, twenty-nine-year-old accountant Seiichirou Kondou is accidentally transported to another world. As compensation, the Romany Kingdom promises to take care of all his living expenses, but the workaholic Seiichirou still asks for a job.
Once he’s placed in the Royal Accounting Department, he starts whipping his lackadaisical colleagues into shape.
