HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact Version Luna III Song of the Welkin Moon: Interlude — “A Nocturne of the Far North” update launches on December 3. The update continues the story of the Nod-Krai region as it prepares for the “Moon-Prayer Night,” a grand festival that marks the Dameselette’s final night before her journey to the moon.
In the Genshin Impact Version Luna III update, players can explore game stalls, record memories in a souvenir stamp book, and enjoy the celebration before the Dameselette returns to the moon. The Hexenzirkel will arrive, and Alice, Klee’s mother, and Nicole Reeyn reveal that Teyvat’s borders are becoming unstable as strange “phantoms” appear throughout Nod-Krai. Players will join Albedo, Durin, and the Wanderer to uncover the mystery behind what’s going in in the Archon Quest, which grants 500 Primogems for a limited time.
Durin arrives a 5-star Pyro Sword wielder with two distinct combat forms, serving as either a team support or strong damage dealer. She’s capable of reducing enemy Elemental Resistance and dealing AoE Pyro DMG in her supporter form, while her Abyssal attacking form deals devastating damage on single targets while boosting Vaporize and Melt reaction DMG.
Version Luna III also introduces “Hexerei characters,” enhancing certain characters closely connected to the Hexenzirkel. By completing Alice’s “Witch’s Homework,” Durin, Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose can become Hexerei characters. Each quest brings a unique story for each character, granting them special abilities and changing their Constellation effects. If the party has at least two Hexerei characters, “Hexerei: Secret
Rite” effect will be active, significantly boosting the party’s combat capabilities.
Jahoda joins as a new 4-star Anemo Bow wielder as well. She will be available alongside Durin and Venti during the first phase, while the second phase will bring back Varesa and Xilonen. There will be several rewarding events as well, including “Soulblazers’ Snowbound
Journey” in Dragonspine and updated Envisage Echoes challenges. UGC gameplay module Miliastra Wonderland will also receive brand-new updates, including the “Wonderland Resource Center,” more free rewards, and the winter-themed Main Hall.
Lastly, Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development, but a release date has not been announced yet.
