Sony Interactive Entertainment announced its new PlayStation 27″ Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook, which launches in 2026 for the U.S. and Japan. The new monitor features an IPS display up to 1440p resolution in supported PlayStation 5 and PC games, along with support for other PlayStation-centric features. More details about pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
The new PlayStation 27″ Gaming Monitor features High Dynamic Range support with Auto HDR Tone Mapping that automatically adjusts HDR settings during setup on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles when supported. What’s more, the monitor includes VRR support and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles and 240 Hz on compatible PC and Mac devices.
As the name suggests, the monitor has a built-in Charging Hook for a DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller (sold separately). The new monitor supports VESA mounting and a slew of audio and connectivity options, including two HDMI IN ports (version 2.1) and one DisplayPort IN port (version 1.4). Players can take advantage of two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port, which can be used with PlayStation Link Adapters or other devices. The monitor includes a built-in stereo speaker and 3.5mm audio output
Sony Interactive Entertainment also announced a Japan-only PlayStation 5 Digital Edition model will be released on November 21 for 55,000 yen (roughly $356, tax included). The Japan-only PlayStation 5 model can only be used with PlayStation Network accounts registered in Japan. The only system language is Japanese, and the system includes the base 825 GB of SSD storage space.
