Bandai Namco has announced that Once Upon A KATAMARI is getting two new DLC packs in November and winter 2025. Each new DLC will be accompanied by a free update.
The first Once Upon A KATAMARI DLC pack includes the five remix tracks as part of the Katamari Damacy Series Dance Dance Remixes, along with 10 accessories. A free update will add the Saki Hanami cosplay set for the Prince. This winter, the Katamari Damacy Series Neo Remixes DLC will adds five more remixes, and a free update will add a set of three DJ accessories.
Once Upon A KATAMARI launched on October 24 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The King of All Sounds Edition includes various DLC packs featuring 60 song tracks from past series and 26 costumes from past series. Players who have save data from either Katamari Damacy REROLL or We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie can unlock a playable Young King once the game launches.
Final Weapon reviewed Once Upon a KATAMARI and gave it a 4/5 score, noting that the game is “a strong return to the series that every fan should experience. Everything that made the originals great is still here, along with a few new additions. Not all of them land perfectly, but none take away from the fun. While it’s on the shorter side, the game’s replayability and incredible soundtrack keep me coming back for more.”
