KAIJU NO. 8: THE GAME Update Adds Mina Ashiro

A new Character Story delves into Mina and Bakko's backstory.

Akatsuki Games, TOHO CO., and Production I.G have released a new update for KAIJU NO. 8: THE GAME featuring Main Story Chapter 5 “Dimensional Identified Kaiju A,” a New Chapter Event, a login bonus event, and the arrival of 5-star [Superb Combination] Mina Ashiro along with Bakko. 

In Main Story Chapter 5, Mina and Bakko arrive to aid Kafka and his comrades against the “Divided Entity.” Meanwhile, a dimensional kaiju surfaces in Japan as Sagan deals with shadows of her past. Players can progress the chapter and challenge Score Battles to earn rewards, including up to 1,500 Dimensional Crystals, from the New Chapter Event, and up to 10 Pickup Gacha Tickets may be obtained from the login bonus event.

[Superb Combination] Mina Ashiro is available from the latest Pickup Event in KAIJU NO. 8: THE GAME, and players can also get the new 5-star weapon T-Dionysus (Cannon). Mina’s Character Story, “Enveloped in White Warmth,” is also available now. The character story provides a backstory on how Mina and Bakko’s partnership came to be.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is streaming with English dubs and subs on Crunchyroll. Aurora performs the opening theme song “You Can’t Run From Yourself.” OneRepublic performs the ending theme song “Beautiful Colors.”

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
