Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition Announced, Available Now

Just in time for Halloween and the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN.

Atari and Bandai Namco have announced the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition. It’s available now to order for $169.99 on the Atari website.

The console will feature the ability to play Atari 2600 and 7800 games, a CX-40+ Wireless Joystick PAC-MAN Edition controller, HDMI output, widescreen mode, and an enlarged cartridge socket to reduce sticking. The console itself also has a PAC-MAN theme and includes the PAC-MAN: Double Feature 2-in-1 game cartridge. The cartridge includes an all-new, arcade-style version, PAC-MAN 7800, plus the very first home version of the game, PAC-MAN 2600.

Later, Atari will release releasing the ultimate collection of Bandai Namco classics for the Atari 7800. This includes GALAGA, DIG DUG, XEVIOUS, and the previously mentioned PAC-MAN: Double Feature game. Each game will be individually packaged in exclusive collector’s packaging, with unique cartridge colors for each game and bonus extras. 

The collection will cost $139.99 USD. Standard edition cartridges for all four games will also be available separately for $32.99 USD each and will ship with full-color user manuals. All cartridges will ship on November 21. The console itself is available now will ship in 2-3 days and celebrates the 45th anniversary of the PAC-MAN franchise.
