Kadokawa has revealed more cast members for the TV anime adaptation of Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrator Kikka Ohashi’s The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter light novel series. The anime will premiere in January 2026, and Crunchyroll will stream it worldwide.
The new cast members for The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter include:
- Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Julius
- Yuna Kamakura as Yua Shiraishi
- Takaaki Torashima as Ist
- Yūki Ono as Siegvold
The main cast includes:
- Kent Itō as Seiichirō Kondō
- Tomoaki Maeno as Aresh Indrak
- Seiichirō Yamashita as Norbert
- Hiroki Tōchi as Kamil
Shinji Ishihara directs the anime at Studio DEEN, with Yoshiko Nakamura overseeing the series composition. The duo have previously worked together before in such BL anime as Sasaki and Miyano, Super Lovers, and Tadaima, Okaeri. Akira Yamada serves as assistant director, while Maki Fujii is handling the character design. Megumi Ōhashi is composing the music, and Nippon Columbia is producing the music.
Yatsuki launched the light novel series in February 2019. The third volume shipped in September 2021.
Yen Press releases the manga and light novel in English and describes it as follows:
