The staff of the TV anime adaptation of Kenichi Kondō’s Dark Gathering manga series confirmed that Dark Gathering Season 2 is now in the works. The main cast and staff of the first season will return in Dark Gathering Season 2.
The Dark Gathering anime initially premiered on July 9, 2023 on Tokyo MX, and HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired. Netflix also streamed Dark Gathering in select regions.
The cast of Dark Gathering includes:
- Yū Sasahara as Yayoi Hōzuki
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Keitarō Gentо̄ga
- Kana Hanazawa as Eiko Hōzuki
- Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo
Hiroshi Ikehata directs the anime at studio OLM.
Kondō launched the manga in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine in March 2019, and VIZ Media is releasing the manga in English.

Kenichi Kondo got his start working as an assistant for Katsura Hoshino on D.Gray-man. In 2016 he released Cheer Danshi!! -GO BREAKERS-, a serialized manga adaptation of Ryo Asai’s novel Cheer Danshi!! His next project, Dark Gathering, began its serialization in Jump SQ. in 2019.
