Digital Extremes has announced that the latest update for Warframe, titled “The Vallis Undermind,” is available now. Additionally, it has also released a launch trailer for the new update.
The free update welcomes new and returning players with an early game cinematic Quest, The Teacher. Additionally, it features a new mushroom-themed Warframe, named Nokko. Nokko lets players use Stinkbrain and “spread mischief in combat by throwing mushrooms that periodically release poisonous spores upon enemies, and grow mushrooms that periodically release a radial pulse buffing allies’ defences.”
Nokko’s Stinkbrain ability also inflicts Viral Damage and Status Effect upon nearby enemies while lulling them to sleep. Moreover, the Reroot ability also lets players players transform into a baby mushroom Sprodling to generate orbs that heal Nokko while remaining untargetable and gaining a notable speed boost.
Additionally, there’s a new “fungal-rich” environment called The Deepmines. There’s also a new rework for Oberon which will launch. The rework will allow Oberon to take advantage of a refined passive ability and improved healing with streamlined support options. He can also use a boost to the Reckoning ability’s overall damage impact.
The update also improves the new player experience, adds a rework and free login reward for the Oberon Warframe, and time-limited events to celebrate the spookiest season of the year. Check out the new launch trailer for the new Warframe update, “The Vallis Undermind,” below:
