To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Neptunia franchise, Compile Heart announced that Neptune voice actress Rie Tanaka will be singing a new insert song for the new Neptunia numbered game. Compile Heart invites fans to submit phrases and words that might appear in the lyrics of the new Neptunia theme song, with examples including “courage,” friendship,” and “determination.”
According to staff writer Ryuji’s translation of the announcement, the new Neptunia numbered title’s theme song is supposed be an “anthem to cheer them up.” A special campaign will also be ongoing, and five randomly selected fans will win a hand-signed paper from Rie Tanaka. Submissions are being taken in a new Google Docs form from October 8 to November 30, and any prizes won can only be shipped within Japan.
Previously, Compile Heart opened the official Neptunia 15th anniversary website, along with a survey and art contest. A new trailer was also released, teasing that the Neptunia series will continue, and more updates will come over time on the official website. The next numbered Neptunia game has been in development for the past three or four years in collaboration with series illustrator Tsunako. Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert will appear.
Lastly, the latest game in the Neptunia series is Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. A Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $49.99 featuring the game, 35-page digital art book, original soundtrack, and Swimsuit, Apocalyptic, Race Queen Costume Sets for Uzume, Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert. These Costume Sets may be bought in a bundle as standalone DLC for $6.99.
