Shufu to Seikatsu Sha has announced that Marukawa’s Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land (Ikyō no Tsumenuri Minarai) manga series is getting a new anime adaptation. The Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land anime announcement did not reveal the format, and a premiere date was not announced, either.

Marukawa launched the Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land manga in Shufu to Seikatsu Sha’s Comic PASH! magazine in 2022. Shufu to Seikatsu Sha published the manga’s fifth compiled book volume on January 10, 2025. In addition, the manga’s sixth volume will release on Friday, October 3, in Japan.

Tokyopop licensed the manga series for release in English, with the first volume launching on April 7, 2026. What’s more, the manga will be available at Tokyopop Store, Penguin Random House, Barnes & Noble, and other major booksellers when the first volume launches.

Lastly, here’s an overview of the manga’s story, via Tokyopop:

A shoujo fantasy that brings readers into the magical world of nail art.

Keiko Sahara, an office worker whose hobby is designing cute gel nails, is sent to a world where people’s magic abilities come from their nail art. After a magic nail artist notices her ability, she becomes his apprentice!
