Nintendo has released the version 2.0.1 update for Donkey Kong Bananza on Nintendo Switch 2 with a bug fix to a disc reward for collecting all the balloons in Bananza Rehearsal. The new update also fixes some issues involving Pauline’s shout voices.

Fixed Issues
- Fixed issue where the player could not get a disc as a reward for collecting all the balloons in Bananza Rehearsal.
- If the above issue is occurring in the game in Ver. 2.0.0 or earlier, the player will be able to get the disc right after the stage starts by entering Bananza Rehearsal after downloading this update data.
- Fixed issue where some of Pauline’s shout voices would not play when language setting of the Nintendo Switch 2 system is “English (UK/Australia)” and travel buddy’s voice (Pauline’s voice) in “Options” has its “voice language” set to “Same as system.”
- Several other changes have been made and issues addressed to improve the gameplay experience.
Final Weapon reviewed Donkey Kong Bananza and gave it a 4.5 out of 5 score, stating that the game is “an immaculate return to 3D for DK. Bananza offers creativity seen in very few games in our industry have achieved. Each Layer is expertly crafted, Donkey Kong is endlessly fun to control, and the narrative is surprisingly great. While the general lack of difficulty, especially with bosses, leaves a bit to be desired, Donkey Kong Bananza is one of my favorite Nintendo games of the last decade. Let’s just hope this marks a new era of consistent Donkey Kong games.
Nintendo released the Donkey Kong Bananza DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC on September 12 with a new explorable area and new challenges for existing layers.
