Bandai Namco Filmworks reveals its plans for the Gundam franchise ahead of New York Comic Con 2025, which runs from October 9 to 12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. A new key visual was revealed as well, featuring the iconic Gundam Barbatos towering against the Manhattan skyline.
Gundam heads to New York as a hub for fans from October 4 to 19, with exclusive director signings and giveaways at New York Comic Con 2025 and a two-day film festival at Japan Society. There will also be Gundam-wrapped buses roaming the streets of Manhattan and welcoming fans to the celebration.
Gundam at New York Comic Con 2025
During New York Comic Con 2025, fans can meet Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans director Tatsuyuki Nagai for an autograph session on October 9 at 2:00 p.m. EDT at TAMASHII NATIONS Booth #2417. Tickets are free of charge, with distribution starting at 10:00 a.m. EDT for the first 70 attendees. Ticket holders receive a signed commemorative poster featuring the new exclusive “Barbatos Rises at NYC” artwork. Each attendee may bring one personal item for signing, subject to staff approval.

Gundam Film Festival at Japan Society
Japan Society will host a two-day Gundam Film Festival from October 11 to 12 with English-dubbed screenings, live cast appearances, panel displays, product exhibits, and exclusive giveaways.

Gundam Takes Over NYC
From September 28 to October 12, specially wrapped Gundam buses will roam the streets of New York City, with select routes offering free rides. Images of the buses, along with route details and additional information, will be revealed soon via Gundam Info and Gundam Info NA social media channels.
