Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Adds Lasombra and Toreador Clans to Base Game

Initially the two clans would've released as DLC.

Paradox Interactive and White Wolf have announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will feature the Lasombra and Toreador clans in the base game. Previously, both would’ve released as DLC. 

In their place, two new story packs will instead release after launch. The first will be Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 – Loose CannonVampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 – The Flower & the Flame will launch afterwards. In a statement, Marco Behrmann, White Wolf Executive Vice President and Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer, said the following about the news:

“Thanks to our community for the frank feedback on Bloodlines 2 and the Premium Edition. That feedback made it clear: Lasombra and Toreador belong in the base game, so that is what we are doing. We’d also like to thank The Chinese Room for their quick turnaround on the concepts for the post-launch Story Packs. We’re constantly impressed by their creativity and skill in weaving enticing narrative threads that expand on the main story in Bloodlines 2.”

Paradox Interactive and White Wolf announced the sequel to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines in 2019. The developers proceeded to delay it to 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Recently, Paradox delayed it again to the first half of 2025. Now, it will finally release on October 21, 2025.

The Steam page describes the game as follows:

You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
