Resident Evil Requiem Launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on Day One

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil Requiem, the next entry in the long-running horror franchise, is set to launch on day one for Nintendo Switch 2. This version of the game will release alongside all others on February 27.

Alongside this reveal, Trailer 2 for the game was officially released. This trailer focuses on protagonist Grace Ashcroft and her mother, who is shaping up to be a very important character in this narrative. You can take a look at the new trailer below:

Last month, Capcom revealed a new look at Requiem in addition to new artwork celebrating the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil. The art features Grace, plus familiar faces like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Ada Wong.

Resident Evil Requiem will release on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to experience hands-off gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem at Summer Game Fest.
