Koei Tecmo has announced during today’s Nintendo Direct that Dynasty Warriors: Origins is set to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22, 2026. A new paid “large-scale” DLC is also set to release alongside the Switch 2 version.

There’s an interesting story told across five meaty chapters, with plenty of content to see and discover. If you’ve yet to experience a non-spinoff in the series, Origins is the perfect place to start.”
