Silver Star Japan announced its new Rabi x Laby “final chapter production project,” which is a novel to conclude the story of the series. The Rabi x Laby novel is being written by Etrange Overlord writer Roman Kitayama, and a Campfire campaign for the project will run from September 10 to October 24.
The novel will delve into the stories of the previous Rabi x Laby games and mark the conclusion of the story with a final chapter. What’s more, a remake with additional stages and a new game based on the final chapter will be produced if the campaign reaches various stretch goals on Campfire.
Here’s a list of the Campfire campaign goals, via Gematsu:
- One million yen (base goal, approx. $6,720 USD) – Novelization of the first four games.
- 1.5 million yen (approx. $10,080 USD) – Novelization of the new final chapter.
- Two million yen (approx. $13,445 USD) – A remake with additional stages will be produced.
- Three million yen (approx. $20,167 USD) – The remake will implement story parts from the novelization.
- Four million yen (approx. $26,877 USD) – Adds full voice-overs.
- Six million yen (approx. $40,316 USD) – Adds a voice drama.
- 10 million yen (approx. $67,193 USD) – Adds a stage editor to freely create stages.
Lastly, Silver Star Japan will attend Tokyo Game Show 2025, which runs from September 25 to 28 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The novel’s main visual will be displayed alongside demo booths for previous games in the Rabi x Laby series.
