Hyperkin’s ‘The Competitor’ Controller Ships in October 2025

Hyperkin has announced that its new controller, known as “The Competitor,” will start shipping in October 2025. The controller will cost $49.99. 

The Competitor will be available in multiple colors. Black and white will be available in North America, UK, the European Union, and Australia, while Blue, red, and gold will be available in UK, the European Union, and Australia. Blue, red, and gold will release at a later date in North America. The controller will feature Hall-Effect technology, metal glide rings, and a one piece segmented D-pad. It also includes durable membrane face buttons and anti-friction gates for the smoothest anti-drift thumbstick control.

One of many games that players will be able to use the controller with is Hollow Knight: Silksong. Recently, Team Cherry announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will release on September 4 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will receive Hollow Knight: Silksong at no additional cost on September 4.
