GungHo Online Entertainment and Nihon Falcom released a free demo for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with the Nintendo Switch version to follow up at a later date. What’s more, a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will be released digitally on September 19 with higher frame rates and resolution. Fans who purchase Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on Switch can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition ($1 upgrade pack fee).
The demo contains the prologue chapter of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, and save data transfers over to the full game. In addition to the demo, the opening movie of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter was also released.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter launches September 19 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam worldwide. North American fans can pre-order the Standard Edition at retail and Collector’s Editions through Limited Run Games now. European fans can pre-order the Standard Edition and the Collector’s Edition through Clear River Games and other major retailers.
The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter SteelBook Edition ($79.99) will be available on launch day, September 19, while the Bracer Edition ($179.99) will be delivered between November 15 and December 15. A Launch Celebration Pack will be available to all players two weeks after the game’s launch for a one-month period, but it will always be available to those who purchase one of the two Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Collector’s Editions.
