The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime adaptation of Takeichi Abaraya and Kadzuya Konomoto’s Route of Odd Taxi manga announced that the series will receive two compilation films this year. The first film will cover episodes 1-7 and will air on September 10-11. Meanwhile, the second film will air on September 17-18 and will cover episodes 8-13.
The movies serve to commemorate the upcoming release of Baku Kinoshita and Kazuya Konomoto’s anime movie, Housenka (The Last Blossom). Additionally, a preview of the film will also be shown at the screenings.
Kinoshita is directing The Last Blossom film, with Konomoto handling the script and the original concept. CLAP is responsible for animation production, and Michinoku-Toge is credited for the concept art. Cero is composing the film’s music.
Kinoshita and Konomoto previously collaborated on the ODDTAXI anime from 2021. The Odd Taxi anime premiered in Japan in April 2021 and aired for 13 episodes.

The taxi driver Odokawa lives a very mundane life. He has no family, doesn’t really socialize with others, and is an oddball who is narrow-minded and doesn’t talk much. The only people he can call his friends are his doctor, Gouriki, and his high school classmate, Kakibana.
All of his patrons seem to be slightly odd themselves. The college student who wants to be noticed online is Kabasawa. A nurse with secrets, Shirakawa. A comedy duo, the Homosapiens… All these mundane conversations somehow lead to a girl who’s gone missing.
