Kadokawa announced that the anime adaptation of Punichan’s The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom (Akuyaku Reijō wa Ringoku no Ōtaishi ni Dekiai Sareru) light novel will premiere in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, the cast and staff of the anime were also revealed.
The cast and staff of the anime include:
- Mai Fuchigami as Tiararose
- Yūichirō Umehara as Aquasteed
- Takuya Satō as Hartknights
- Yumiri Hanamori as Akari
Cast members will be reprising their roles from the otome game adaptation.
Takayuki Hamana is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Yoshimi Narita is handling the series scripts, and Majiro is in charge of character design.
Punichan first released the novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō service in 2016. B’s-Log Bunko later added illustrations by Akeno Naruse and published 14 volumes of the light novel. The light novel achieved massive success with over 5.6 million copies in circulation.
