During EVO 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works announced a closed beta test for 4v4 tag fighting game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be held on PlayStation 5 from September 5 to 7. The MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta test will feature six playable characters, online matches with rollback netcode, spectator mode, lobbies, spectator mode, a training tutorial, and more, and registration is available now.
PlayStation and Arc System Works brought MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls to EVO 2025, which ran from August 1 to 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the game’s booth, players could try out a MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls demo. Six characters will be playable in the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls EVO 2025 demo: Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Star Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Doctor Doom. These characters will likely be playable in the closed beta test as well.
Developed by Arc System Works in cooperation with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will release in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store as the first new Marvel fighting game in nearly ten years, with the last one being Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. Lastly, the game will have crossplay between platforms and English dub voices, along with Japanese voice-overs.
