A new countdown website has opened, teasing a new original TV anime series from Aniplex and Sony Music Entertainment with the theme of “Music x Hero.” More details about the anime series from Aniplex and Sony Music Entertainment will be revealed at the end of the countdown on July 27 at 12:00 p.m. JST / July 26 at 11:00 p.m. EDT.
In addition, Aniplex released a teaser image with a silhouette that appears to be for a musical unit called “Si-Vis.” The text accompanying the image reads “Heroes who protect people’s smiles and peace on Earth through songs.” Moreover, the countdown website has an “Artist Mode” that teases the singing voices of characters, along with a “Hero Mode” that teases the voices of the anime’s characters.
In other anime-related news, Sony Group Corporation and Bandai Namco Holdings have signed a strategic business partnership to strengthen engagement among anime and manga fans and expand the fan community around the world. The partnership will see Sony acquire 16 million Bandai Namco shares for 68 billion yen to become a shareholder of roughly 2.5% of total issued shares of Bandai Namco.
